rainy day schedule

so on tuesday we spent hours at the sunny beach frolicking in the tidepools. today its official: rainy day schedule in effect. i used to love the rain.... back when i could sit around watching movies all day. now i loathe the rain. cause that means i cannot take my toddlers outside. and to top it off i'm committed to staying home all day... so by 10 we'd already watched sesame street, took baths, colored, blown up the bounce house and ate breakfast. i decided that was enough parenting so i reclused to my computer. the kids were off playing and before i knew it i couldn't hear them anymore. that was nice, till i realized that maybe they were no longer in the house. i wandered outside and this is what i saw...

yeah cute uh? jumping on the tramp in the pouring rain is always a good idea, till the boss falls out the tiny little hole that you enter from and smacks his head on the metal chair (as soon as he fell, i quickly turned it off to spare you my swear words and obvious bad parenting). that was obviously the end of that...

now i'm off to ralph's.

any good rainy day ideas for me?

aside from oz falling out - do you know how much fun that looks? your kids sure do know how to have a good time - quite resourceful, even in the rain. remind me to bring brayden over to your house for the next rainy day schedule. we've been stuck inside playing baseball and with his train set...both of which get old real quick. sorry i don't have any ideas for you.

oh my gosh, funniest video ever. if you hadn't turned it off, it would have AFV potential!

julie- for real. it took me a couple days to realize it, but last night in bed i asked b if i hadn't turned it off, could it have been on AFV. he said for sure. i'm so bummed. i wonder if i could re-create it....
that would def be child abuse,
but super funny.

love it...your kids are inventive...and pretty hardcore to brave the chilly rain for some much needed fresh air and a little pent up energy release.
poor little man, though...but i'm sure he'd tell you it was worth it, mama...

Don't feel too bad, Elias did the same thing on ours but I didn't get it on video. It's crazy to watch the difference between a boy and girl jumping versus two boys. I can hardly keep Owen and Elias from physically maiming the other one... they are sooo physical it's been driving me crazy lately. Anyhow... sorry I haven't called you back, our vonage and internet were down for about a week and I just got it all back up and running on tues. I'll call you soon.
